What have you all done to make your truck and sleeper berth more comfortable? I've been getting a bit claustrophobic or closed in lateley and certainly understand that sometimes you just have to get out of the truck more but I just wanted to hear what some of you have done to make the truck more your home away from home?

I added a rug and some carpet to the floor behind the shifter to the bed, I've been trying to keep the truck cleaner, and added a mattress pad to make the bed more comfortable. What else is there?? Thanks!

I added a few prints to my sleeper. Also, a TV/DVD can be nice for those long stretches with nothing to do. I also carried a PS2 for entertainment, satellite radio to keep up with the news during downtime. You could look into comfortable bedding, pillows, and whatnot. If you're gonna live in your sleeper (and alot of do, or in my case did), make it comfortable. I found a comfortable sleeper added to my rest, and made me a better driver in the long run.

An assemble-it-yourself telephone table may fit between the seats of a walk-in sleeper.

For us, we added a temperpedic (sp?) mattress topper to the mattress.

We also have lots of "extras", that run on a 2500 watt inverter. (A lot of companies won't allow these inverters)

    **extras are**

    19 inch flat screen TV

    PS2 game station

    VCR/DVD player

    microwave

    crockpot

and, of course, my laptop w/air card for internet

    We also have XM/Sirius radio.

And a fridge that was built into the truck.

For the money, my laptop is a LIFE-SAVING time-consumer for me....but I'm just a rider, not a driver, so I NEED something to keep me occupied!!

Yep, had carpet in the sleeper area, my ps3, about 400 dvds, 19 inch lcd flatscreen, nice comforter, and sirius radio, and the most important of all my laptop with aircard.

As I've gotten older, I've found that less is better, at least for me.

Small DVD player, laptop, and my ipod. I do have a cooler (non-electric). I'm rediscovering the joy of reading, too.

Now if my eyes will cooperate!
