i don't feel the least bit sorry for the driver or company.

if it were me, and i was in charge of the recovery?

i'd call for 2 of these, 1 for the trailer and 1 for the tractor, to extricate them...

then let the costs......uh...sky-rocket into oblivion.......

Ignoring all warnings, by gar, that takes me back. Last of the outlaws, and Billy, at 66, isn't a rookie and let this be a lesson on truck stop shortcuts,,

Make the fine $ 50,000 and post it on big signs . If they still are stupid enough to try it will help get another poor carrier or driver off the road ..

Good idea, except you'd need four of them. The S-64 lifts about twenty thousand lbs. at sea level. Figure a rough capacity loss of 1000 lbs per 1000 feet of altitude.
Sure would be fun to watch, if something like this didn't happen:

The truck could go thought as a bob tail. Its the vehicles longer than 40 / 45 feet that can't get around the ROCK.
"Vermont State Law states that single vehicles greater than 40' in length, or combination vehicles (vehicles with trailers) that are greater than 45' in length, are prohibited from operating in the Smuggler's Notch segment of VT Route 108. Fines begin at $1,000.00 and can increase to over $4,000 for a second offense."

ok, well, bob tail on outta there, then sawzall the trailer into thirds, then class B flatbed wrecker take 'em out...

these dimwitted truckers NEED to be taught a lesson, especially when they get fired for this and then get severely DAC'd, into never finding another job.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

True, but as a whole they don’t like trucks anywhere near that road, let alone in the state.
