I call it junk, not a rattletrap. There are a lot of red flags to this story.
    Is there such a thing?

Ask the Banks and Finance Companies that Question? They do not like to put risk into 20 year old vehicles, yet they do not know the extent of work that was put into said vehicle. They only Care about the Year, Make, Model and Mileage. Sadly, this thing ain't no more expensive than a Brand new BMW or Expensive Pick up truck, yet those don't even make you any money..... They are sure quick to finance you for one though!

Depending on the Final Decision I choose, I may....

I have a handful receipts for most of the parts that were purchased and put on the truck. The place that did the Engine is "Bell Performance Solutions."
Maybe someone is Familiar with them?

    BPS 78/96B s400
    BPS SS high mount S60
    SS Spacers
    Manifold Bolt Kit
    a286 Mounting studs
    S60 Marine Cam
    s60 injectors 7014 set
    Valve Cover Gasket
    BPS boost Coupler
    Dyno
    Detroit Diagnostics 06R0200937
    Labor was about 2k

I called the Driver and spoken with him on occasion. He does not want to sell me Junk.. Even though he has to pay a consignment for the person who is selling the truck for him, he is willing to pay that and do a service on it, run it for 4k miles just so I can do another oil sample at an earlier interval.

No, but the cascadia is deleted and spec'ed like a Truck should be.... :)

I didn't just hire some random Mechanic. Hes also not like 99% of today's Mechanics.

    If you had my money?

I ain't rich, yet! When I say rich I mean in Excess of 350million so I can spend roughly 650k a Month, though I can easily spend it all in matter of about 2 minutes on a Yacht, Private Jet, 1 House and Hypercars. Maybe cocaine and hookers too. LOL!

For anyone Interested, I did find some other trucks out there with 514k -546k Miles that were 2019s......... Sadly, I am not a fan..... I don't care if they give me a 90 day warranty on the engine off the lot or not. 2 Months later and you get a Def light------ Engine Shut Down. No thanks!

It's all good and well for you to think so. As good as you are in the markets, and trucking, and backing, i assume you're an accomplished mechanic too.

So obviously you could spot a decent one amongst a bunch who are FOS.

What do I know, I can't afford a 80k$ truck, and less than a fifth of your driving experience.

But, sounds like your lookin for a pat on the back, so Good Job

I was recommend this Mechanic from my current employer who is looking for me to to be successful with what it is I am doing. I would have found some random person to do the job other wise. My Boss offered him a job to work for us and leave said company he was currently working for because he actually knows what he is doing and doesn't screw people. The guy even said the truck was over priced or he wouldn't pay what the dude is asking for it, regardless of how clean it is.

I'm far from looking for a pat on the back. Just other opinions and sharing my experience in the process with experience I already do have, being a Mechanic is not one of them, that was my fathers job.

I never had the mentality of Know it all. I ask questions, I learn and share that knowledge amongst my peers.

You're on the internet asking total strangers for advice, you already know how bad this idea is and have been told so by everyone you know.

If you really can do this (consistently, over time), it will make you way more than you ever will in trucking...
