The majority of trailers that have a Hendrickson or Meritor tire inflation system installed are factory set at 100 psi, of course setting the psi is really dependent upon how much max lbs your tires are going to be carrying.
The max psi of 125 psi on a tire sidewall placard is dependent if you’re going to carry the max amount of rated weight per tire.
Since most companies rarely run the max rated weight, they run the tires at a happy medium of 110 psi for mpg and even reasonable tire wear.
What pressure should you run a low pro 22.5 tire?

My steer says minimum 120. Not max.snowwy and Rideandrepair Thank this.
-
120 is what I have my 24.5 steer tires set at..it’s what the truck manufacturer recommends also.
I’ve always gone by what’s listed on the door jamb.Siinman and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
You carry an air pump? You're driving an air pump. I run whatever is stamped in the sidewall.PSM379, LoneRanger, Last Call and 2 others Thank this.
-
You’re correct, that’s what I meant.scoobertdoo Thanks this.
-
My air pump with tires doesn't inflate a tire to 125psi. Also my Milwaukee pump is smaller than an air hose.
-
Where you guys getting these air pumps? Are they single or double?
120 on the steers if you want the best wear. AND not look flat. My last steers were separating on the outside while the middle still had plenty of life left. They were at 100.
110 is a good setting for the rest.
125 if you're running wide singles.
And you need a BFH for thumping. Those dudes are very hard to tell when low.Siinman Thanks this. -
I assume these are the 255/70’s on your new step deck? If so I suggest you run them between 120 and 130.
-
Correct.
Thanks. Was thinking about grabbing the 125psi cat eyes for them. I run fast, and I run the south. Lots of heat here. -
If you run fast and run heavy they won’t last.jamespmack Thanks this.
