You are right about the aero trucks. I have driven a lot of trucks since I started driving. You can't beat the plastic trucks fuel mileage. Pulled a set of doubles from Carlisle Pa to Portland Me. Abf just bumped our trucks to 70mph. I was in a Mack Anthem With 15000 in lead and 12000 in tail. Averaged 69 miles an hour. 8.6 mpg. Couldn't do that with a 379 Pete. I know, I drove one.

The 2018 aero pete with 13 auto I'm driving now is getting the worse mileage I've ever seen.

I didn’t read these ads, used to just be an overhaul that may or may not stay together. Lol. Yeah, they probably wouldn’t be real happy being involved in this mess.

What would I rather drive? A Classic xl or a Pete 379 or the plastic crap? What do you think? . What pays the bills? Plastic....and automatic. Yuck. Oh well, sign of the times. Does it matter to me? Nope, if you pay me enough I will drive a pink cab over with yellow polka dots on it.

What are the spec's? The aero can only help if it is spec'd somewhat decent in the first place.

No idea on the specs other then it's a mx13. 13 speed auto.

The last truck was a 2012 kw aero isx15 with 18 speed. It had some power and would average about 6.8 mpg. Pulling 100k one way.

The current Pete can't even crack 6 mpg EMPTY. At the end of the day it's about 3.5 mpg.

The oldest trucks I've driven. Late 80's early 90's. Got around 4.5 mpg doing the same thing.

    Siinman Thanks this.

I'm the same. I just dont GAF what I drive anymore as long as the checks are good and they're clearing. I miss my T600 with a 550 tuned CAT that you could ease out into the left lane without thinking of causing a logjam, mash on it, and effortlessly move on by the rolling roadblock with..... versus.... easing out into the left lane and needing 2 miles to get another 5mph in my plastic Cascadia then the mofo you're passing thinks maybe he doesn't want you passing after all LOL.

Anymore I just set the cruise on 60 and say F*** it. Don't have to pass anybody that way. My old FLD with a tuned 14L was just like the T600. Step out in the left lane whenever you wanted, mash on the go pedal, and regardless what weight I had that mofo would get up and go. Hahaha!! Well the FLD is a yard ornament now. Maybe when I'm done getting rich doing this easy job I might fix it up and take it to a truck show and people can see an old FLD120 lol.

I do miss my T600 a little more tho. I'd still be driving that one right now if I hadn't foolishly gotten rid of it. And trying to justify on TTR the 6mpg it got versus a modern Cascadia getting 8 with ease LOL.
