The fake meat fad has finally been exposed as a complete waste of money

Do feedlots in your area purchase calves one at a time? Around here they move in truckloads and at certain times of the year they move a lot of them.
The only time I see calves sold one at a time is a private sale or somebody picking through a pen looking for replacement heifers. The feedlots I deal with like volume.

Back to the main topic. I don't mind vegans. They remind us that a sense of humor is a good thing and there aren't enough of them to really harm us.

 

Going back to the original post, I don't see this as anything different than the 'collapse' of Krispy Kreme, Chipolte, Jomba Juice, or any of the other fad foods that blew up into huge deals then struggled with scaling before dropping like a stone once the novelty wore off.

As to vegans pushing their beliefs - I don't think they do it anymore than other zealots and I find it a whole lot easier to disengage from them in social settings.

 

Krispsy Kreme isn’t a fad. It’s an 87 year old company and 10x better than DD.

 

Why pick on krispsy……..

 

Look at when they blew up in the late 90s early 2000s. IPO was huge, franchises opened every place, but had to file Chapter 11 in 2005 and then was taken private in 2016 to avoid another bankruptcy.

I'm not disparaging any of the brands, just pointing out that this type of metoric rise is followed by a crash and then things settle out.

 

That was due to corporate mismanagement. Not being a fad. But whatever… I don’t care to argue about it.

 

I don't know. When I was growing up we sold ours at the sale barn but I never paid attention to who bought them. I know that the man who brought the bull got first pick in lieu of us paying a stud fee.

 

But nowhere near as good as H-E-B or Southern Maid.
