what's the black thing above the GDS Technologies doohickey. I had that same peoplenet device but not the black thing near the upper left corner of the tablet.

We're running Motive on Android tablets. Much better than any other system I've used.

There is definitely a camera on our PeopleNet box. Company says they don't use it. Probably don't as all of them I have seen have the camera lens covered up and nothing has ever been said.

We use GeoTab. The piece of garbage doesn’t work half the time and has all sorts of bugs.

Just about all tablets would have a built in camera today. It’s not like they are streaming live video or recording it

That depends entirely on the ELD your company uses. Mine uses Samsara and our safety department can definitely access the camera. I’m pretty sure it records accidents, speed warnings, and following warnings.
I’m also pretty sure that they don’t actively monitor it as a general matter, because I hang my cap over it when I’m driving, and no one has called me on it!Lonesome, dwells40, Speedy356 and 1 other person Thank this.
