Dang, you got one of the fancy ones with the golden bulldog hood ornament. Do you all also get the ag exemption like livestock haulers have? It'd be nice to know you get 150 air miles of time to play with to shutdown for the night if you were loading in the afternoon/evening

This BBQ restaurant at the TX Best Smokehouse/Pilot licensed location in Denison, TX is pretty decent. Not the best and not the cheapest, but BBQ at a truck stop is hard to come by. They had a Mexican restaurant and Einstein Bros Bagels as well. I'll definitely make this a stop more often Screenshot_20230822_204813_Snapchat.jpg

I can haul 50200 lbs when full of fuel. Typically don't run over gross of 80000. It's just not worth flirting with an overweight ticket if ya get caught. Cotton seed just happens to be one of those products that are hard to get a full load out of. Generally on loads like that we get paid a 25 ton minimum. Although cotton seed is one where for whatever reason we never seem to get a minimum rate on. So ya just get whatever it pays a ton for what ya can get stuffed in the trailer. As a matter of fact it's so stuffed an packed in that it won't fall out by itself. They gotta punch a hole through it from the top down through the bottom an out the trap door with a long rod an auger it with a drill to get it going. Then they keep augering it to get it out. All while your pulling forward making a row of it on the ground. Takes 4 long rows to empty out.

The guy I work for doesn't use the ag exempt allowance rules. I personally haven't learned them myself. We just run the normal 11 / 14 / 70 hr rules like everyone else. I could use the ag exempt stuff if I studied it an learned how to use it. It's just easier for me to run a normal log. That's what I've always used an it's what I am most comfortable doing. Besides that I work hard enough without adding extra exempt time to my days everyday.

Also the Gold Bulldog signifies that it's a Gold Mack. Which means it has all mack components.

I actually like that Texas Smokehouse BBQ restaurant. I usually stop at the location across from the Love's in Italy, TX. I like the flavor, but you're definitely right about the price.

First time here at Biagi Bros. PU appt. 16:00 -- can only check in 15 minutes before appointments. Overnight parking allowed Mon-Thu, out by 22:00 on Friday. Directions from dispatch say no overnight parking, but figured I'd give a heads up if anyone didn't know. Not sure if overnight parking is allowed for early arrivals, but idk what difference it would make anyways. I'll be here riding it out as long as possible and will update if anyone says anything lol.

Reviews here weren't great on Google, so I'm just mentally preparing for getting out once my 10 hour break is completed and running overnight to Rolla. Seems like a more pleasant way to deal with DFW/US75 anyways

I used to load at biagis all the time. It always seemed to work as 1st come 1st serve regardless of appointment times.

Are you at Biagi Bros in Arlington or Hutchins? Both of those will load early if they aren't busy. I've been able to get a 10 hr at both locations. The Arlington one will have you park on the street. I'm sitting in Mt. Vernon taking the rest of the day off. I'm only getting back about 2.75 hrs tonight so I'll need a viable clock to do something productive tomorrow. 8 hrs is good for a short run.

I just came out of there yesterday afternoon. Dispatch didn't send me the right p/u number, so I figured I'd call the broker, it would be quicker. Wrong lol. Called several times, got hung up on, put on hold, 20 min later I sent a message to dispatch. Got a reply at the same time someone at the broker finally answered the phone. Oh, and when I got the trip info that morning, I was at the house finishing up a 4 day weekend. Plan said 1400 p/u with a 0630 del. I messaged Robert and told him it would be impossible for me to make that because I live 100 miles from the shipper, and add 574 miles to that, just ain't gonna happen in 14hrs. He told me they're really good people to work with, so get there when I can (Jefferson City rec). So they get me loaded and out of there around 1730, and after scaling I get to the casino with the huge parking lot there on 75/69 south of Eufalla. Get to rec at 14:45, and get told the rec crew quit taking deliveries at 1400. Crap. So I'm sitting here at the Petro in Kingdom City waiting til early am to go deliver. Then I gotta haul my empty over to Coke in Wright City. After that, I don't know where I'm going. Lol
