Hutchins. I guess they were busy today and didn't even take my info down until 15 til appointment. They got me loaded and paperwork in hand in 3 hours of appointment, so not terrible by reefer standards.

8 hours tomorrow might set you up well for a weekend run with some miles and time for a 34 or something maybe. I'll be rolling across 44, so I'll wave to ya if you're headed west.

Brokers are awesome, aren't they? Lol. They'll have a stroke if a driver doesn't answer and give them an ETA 6 times in one day, but can't be found if they're needed.

That stretch from Lebanon to Jefferson City is a nice little ride. Not the most fun with a heavy load, but still pleasant. It's a nice truck FRIENDLY route and not truck 'capable' like a lot of Missouri roads lol.

Glad they were able to get you a 4 day break. I know you were talking about being wore out a week or two ago. Maybe you'll get a nice, easy run from Wright City to CO and a load of taters if you haven't done that here yet. Doing it here was my first time ever doing bulk produce. Thought it was cool getting tatered in the middle of nowhere. The only few times I've done it before was big company produce that was already packaged.

Last load I took out of wright city actually went to Denver. Picked it up on a Thursday, but it didn't deliver til the next Monday. Sat in the outskirts of Denver that weekend. That was my 2nd outbound load with the company. Meaning I had more than ample time on my 70, but got a 34+ out of it. Would be my luck it happens again coming out of the house with again, almost a full 70 lol. Reloaded at some dessert joint outside Denver on that run, can't remember where it went tho.
I know in orientation they told us they prefer to keep us out 2-ish weeks and get us home for a couple days. Think they'd have a problem with me staying out 3-4 weeks and taking 4 days off religiously? I only ask because 2 days off would really only piss me off lol. One day spent doing laundry, cleaning the truck up, going to the store to restock the truck, and one day left to recuperate. No time to go visit friends or relatives, no time to have a life. Nah, lemme take 4 days lol. I'm sure I'm not the only one like this.

They never had a problem with my hometime requests. I religiously stayed out 3 or 4 weeks at a time. Always took 3 full days off for hometime an sometimes 4 days. Heck there were times I took a whole week off outside of what I had coming via vacation time. No one ever had a problem with it at all.

Ahhh ok, you caught them on a bad day lol. At least Rolla takes loads once you get em there. That is the good thing about hauling those beer loads back. Only the delivery in Earth City has a more rigid appt schedule.

Professor pretty much said the the truth. I never took longer than 2 days at home, because I needed to keep the income flowing. My family is kind if large so my obligations are too lol. I always did laundry, grocery shopping, and everything leading up to the days I got home. Once I got there I wasn't trying to do anything other than non-trucking stuff. Sometimes I'd only need a 34, but they've sent me home for several days. I guess I ran so hard they told me to sit down somewhere for a bit lol

If you ever get that shipper again, get there as early as possible, if possible. They will load you early if it ain't a whole lot of trucks there. They tend to get busier later in the day. Last time I went there, they actually loaded me in about 20 minutes, well ahead of my appt time. If they dispatch you on a load and it loads at that Biagi, you can sleep there and they won't bother you.

Well, they're getting me home on time. Was a little skeptical being in Dallas yesterday evening, but was able to get to Rolla early this morning. They got me a load delivering in Atlanta 18:00 Monday. Hoping they have me pre-planned so I don't have to hunt for Atlanta parking after delivery lol, but I've been impressed with them getting me home. A lot of companies will really cut miles on the week before hometime and just mozy along doing short runs all week, but they've ran me hard every time so far.

Bowling Green being conveniently only a 20 mile detour from STL going to Nashville, Atlanta, or anywhere east of Nashville on I-40 probably helps.

Got a Denver load out of Wright City. Delivers at 0530 Saturday morning at Sam's whse. Denver is supposed to be really nice tomorrow, high in the 60s. Gonna roll into that Johnson's Corner truck stop 7 miles south of rec by around 10:00 tomorrow, and soak up that nice cool air lol. Beats the hell out of sticking around anywhere within the flames of Satan's ####. One poor Climate sucker at the shipper got stuck with a load going to Waco....right in the devil's taint lmao

That Sam's Warehouse in Loveland is super quick. I was in and out in an hour a week or so ago. It's definitely not the typical walmart experience lol.

Not sure if coincidence or if someone had a 'come to Jesus' meeting, but all of the last 5 or so trailers I've picked up have either had a new t fitting, hubcap, or both, and the fluid has all looked fresh and up to the full line. Kinda nice not picking up and topping off bone dry hubs with 4 month old grime caked on lol. I don't mind seepage and grime as long as I can wipe it clean and not have to wonder how long the hubs been ran dry.
