Decided I liked my home time more than the potential of extra money running the road! If I was young and hungry I would probably be a $15,000+ a week gross road driver. I am not sure if I am less hungry or young.

Lol, decades ago, after taking a few years off from carhaul to actually be home with my children, Cassens hired me. The $ was a lot better than me playing remodeling contractor. I spent 3 weeks training in Belvedere, Ill. learning the Beano Cassens carhaul system, where 3 is 6 and 14 is 8. Then I quit because it occurred to me my children weren't old enough yet.

I did my time at Cassens and I marked the deck numbers with a paint pen. I realized they did it to recognize their company history as the rigs grew, but I had other things to concentrate on.
