I just watched an episode of "Criminal Minds" on CBS that featured a trucker who was a serial killer and depicted truckers in general as a group of social misfits and inferred that there are a number of serial killers "out there right now". They referred to a high incidence of divorce and social problems and how many or most truckers have a fantasy romanticized lifestyle of the open road. It sure wasn't very flattering to the profession or industry. It was a 180 degree shift from the public image of my early days of driving in the 70's and 80's. I didn't like it.

Yeah, there's a number of serial killers out here right now.

Just like there's a number of (male) catholic priests that like to rape young boys.

Just like there's a number of lawyers that are lying right this second.

Just like there's a number of politicians who created the 9/11 attack and blamed it on "terrorists" with the vast majority of the public believing in them.

Just like those same politicians successfully passed numerous BS laws to protect us from "terrorists" when the attack wasnt even done by a terrorist.

Just like there's a number of car salesman ripping people off on trade-ins.

Just like there's a number of tow truck drivers raping young women on the turnpike.

Just like there's a number of women who have odors of decomposing bodies in the trunk of their car and blame it on rotten pizza.

Just like there's a number of women who have blood stains in their trunks and say its "pizza sauce"

Even though its obvious that the police can tell the difference.

Just like there's a number of women who wait a month before reporting that their kid is missing.

Just like there's a number of hackers that are hacking into bank websites and stealing money.

Just like there's a number of people mugging people at truckstops.

Just like there's a number of black people stealing car stereos and CB radios.

Just like there's a number of white people attacking black people for being black.

Just like there's a number of mexicans stabbing white people for no reason.

Just like there's a number of trucking companies that DONT screw drivers over.

I saw the same show and was disgusted at how they portrayed truckers and
    the lifestyle.

At this moment I am writing a letter to CBS and the producers of the show.

Misfits? Yeah, we are.... when compared to the button-down 9-5er over-educated sheep that comprise what the "norm" of today's society. We get to see the country and it's people "as is" on a daily basis. What does your average "educated" person see? A cubicle in some #### office. His only interaction with others a computer screen or a bunch of papers. His information is junk newspapers or 3rd rate tv news. He scurries from his home to his office like a #### ####roach; afraid to make eye contact with the other roaches scurrying around him.

Look at these sorry excuses for humans and consider that they are supposed to be our "betters".:biggrin_2552:

    #### right I ain't gonna fit that mould.

The series that showed last night was a new series, and it was making truckers look bad to all of america, like they really need that already. Is there anything out there that makes a truck driver look good, you have accident and it is always the truckers fault.Even though you deliver all their food, clothing, water and ect.
