I have a Kindle & have slowly come to love it. I get two newspapers delivered to it every day. You can download single issues of newspapers or magazines if you do not want to subscribe. A great concept.

I also play a free game called Trukz online to pass a little time (you can google it). Its not the greatest but it passes a little time when just sitting and its kinda addictive if you actually get into it. The wife always asks me why I would play something I have to do all day in real life. Guess I'm just addicted to trucking.

I just checked out Trukz. I think your wife has a very good point.

I am not on the road yet but I plan on takeing my dog with me which to me is the best thing for not feeling lonely. He will also make me get out of the truck and get fresh air more often. I plan on getting one of those digital picture frames to hang or sit somewhere in the truck that way when I am not driving I will be able to see my family.

I guess you could even go as far as setting up web cams on yours and your families side and having live video chat with them. If by chance you you carry a laptop and have a pc at home with a good internet connection on each side. There are several companies/programs that provide Live video conferencing.

I know a way you can keep your unlimited account with Verizon. The forum won't let me PM you or leave you a visitors message.

Stop at the TA on I-94 exit 1 in Illinois or I-90 (US 20 exit) and talk to the guy there. He can switch your account without losing your unlimited access. PM me and I can give you his contact info.
