I know I need ifta, anything else?

If it’s a one time only trip I think you could just get temporary fuel permits instead of dealing with ifta.

The other thing is if you have or will need apportioned tags.. Wait for someone else to chime in to clarify

Might be easier and cheaper to hire someone already properly permitted to do it for you.

For a one time trip just get a temporary trip and fuel permit. If you get the IFTA sticker you will need to file each quarter, and without any out of state miles after the one trip you will end up with problems long term. As mentioned earlier, you will need apportioned plates, which again do not make sense for a single out of state trip. Both of these can be fixed with temporary trip and fuel permits.

The other concern is hours of service. If you do not already need to run an electronic logging device for your AG operations, which is unlikely, you will need to keep the trip to 8 days or less to stay exempt from an ELD during the interstate portion of your trip. You will need to complete paper logs and follow property carrier hours of service regulations while doing this trip.
