I am glad for fresh hours and much needed rest. I haven't had a 34 in 3 weeks I think. It's weird, they run me the hardest when I have low hours. Now I have a fresh 70, I got this Hershey load to Temple, TX and it don't deliver til Wed night. Cruise control to the max.

I used to not care for running on recaps but as long as ya got decent hours coming back it's not bad. I've done it here a couple times an it's always worked out decent.bryan21384 Thanks this.

I agree, running recaps don't suck when the hours are there. I felt like my system needed a rest. I was making too many mental errors lol, for instance when I turned out the Olney DC, I went west on 50 when I really needed to go east to get back to route 130. Luckily, I was able to get back on track when I came up to route 250 and ran that back east to head towards Robinson. A 34 becomes necessary when I start making those mental mistakes. After that long of running recaps, I don't feel quite as sharp.

Don't ask me how ive managed to avoid this for a month and a half, but i just had my first "kinda tight angle back between 2 trucks at a truck stop" moment lol. Got backed in just fine, like an old pro...but #### are my nerves shot to hell lol.
Did 607.1 miles in 10h1m of drive time. Would've been 9h59m but I had to pull over and fix my left side curtain cuz it came loose and slid all the way across and blocked my mirror. Not too shabby going from Midwest DC to Anna Tx. Took off at 03:48 this morning, landed at 14:39. I swear I make Robert and Travis scratch their heads sometimes with how I run lol.wulfman75, bryan21384, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
It's nice shutting down my early. I usually try to have the same attitude when running -- knock out the miles ASAP and it takes a lot of stress out of it all. Simple things like flat tires don't ruin days as often when people run hard and stay ahead of schedule.dwells40 Thanks this.

Headed to New Century from Greenville. Routing says US25 to 26. I've never been on all the way towards 26, but I'll give it a shot. At this point, I'm just trying to check off roads I haven't been on when the opportunity arises. 30,000 is the weight, so it'll be a bit of a crawl, but sure beats 44k through WV
bryan21384 and dwells40 Thank this. -
Yeah, if I've got the hours and I'm rested, I'd rather knock out a long run and get it over with asap so I can take a longer break lol.bryan21384, Thrasher28 and dwells40 Thank this.

Aw man, I passed you! I am headed for Temple tomorrow night, and I stopped in Robinson til its time to this last ½ hr of the run. I'm hauling Hershey myself. Where are you headed with yours?mdmgolfin Thanks this.
-
That 25 is very steep right before you get to 26. I know your truck whined a little coming up thay hill....even at 30k it's a bit challengingmdmgolfin and Thrasher28 Thank this.

Was certainly a climb lol. Even with 30k, it was a <40mph crawl. Think it might have been a bit steeper than the climb on 26. Could definitely get a little sketchy if someone grossing 80k was headed east and not expecting it.
Made it to East STL tonight. I-40 in TN is much more pleasant after 20:00, so turned out to be a 650 mile day. Will be a short day tomorrow, but at least I'll be ready early for a Sauer reload Thursday.bryan21384 Thanks this.
