Man, thats good advice. So many times where I could've ran a load a little different if I knew what was coming next and been better off.

Glad you're having a good retirement. You're really gonna be missing out this Winter when we're snowed in at a truck stop in Colorado and you're enjoying a cozy WV fire :D

Looks like I get to fill out my 1st Lantern Fly form. Yay.... :/
After unloading here at Walmart they have me headed up to Roninson for a drop/hook (that says it's only 27k pounds) headed to Palmyra.
Good news is I get to stop by my favorite truck stop (the Petro in Carlisle) and hope they have some of their chicken and dumplins that I haven't had in forever :)

Man, I never thought I'd see Carlisle and favorite truck stop together lol. Can't go wrong with Chicken n Dumplins though.

You should be setup for an easy ASAP 800 mile backhaul next week, so that'll be nice.

That's why I liked it as well. It was a lot better on my run planning, to know how I could plan 2,3,or even 4 days ahead. Helped a lot on planning the best hours for each day.

Just got actually pulled over by NC State Patrol for the second time in 2023 lol. Was just for a level 3 inspection and no violations were found, but they don't play around here apparently. One of the few states I double check my ducks are in a row every time I start the truck.

    Weeeellllll....about that..
Got to Robinson only to find out my load wasn't ready yet, guard shack didn't know when it would be loaded, couldn't call the shipping clerk because he had already gone home for the day, and they were at max capacity on Climate trailers so I couldn't even drop my empty. We exchanged numbers and all that, said they'd call me when it was ready. I'm not gonna play around with it. I've only got 5 hours left and I've been up since 0400 this morning. I'm just gonna take a 10 and call them tomorrow morning/run up there and fafo lol. I'll still be able to get the return to Midwest sometime Monday without having to break a sweat, so it'll all work out.

That's something I don't have to do anymore. No more bug reports. An I've even went in an out of Pennsylvania for this guy. Yet magically somehow noone is smacking us on the hands for not doing spotted lanternfly reports. Never understood having to do that at Climate. Ya can ask a 100 different drivers from different companies out here if they know about the spotted lanternfly requirements and they'll look at ya like you're dumber than a box of rocks an tell ya they got no idea as to what it is you're a talking about.

I ran in and out of PA a ton with a few different companies. One gave us a little laminated card saying we were trained, one just briefed it in orientation and never heard about it again, and then here is the only place we've done 'reports'. I honestly forgot about them completely until you all brought jt up, so I guess they don't check it that closely.

There was one time I picked up in northern MD last fall and saw 5 on the tires and bumper of the trailer. And I saw dozens squished on the ground. That was the first time I really was concerned and did a full walk around killing spree away from the grass.
