    Has anyone used, visited or know pittsburg power?

    Do they also do general maintenance/repairs or just custom stuff?

    I have dealt with Bruce and a few of his workers in the past and even run some of the products they sell. I don't run any of his own designed products, just stuff he resells (Spinner 2 and FASS). Here in the past 2 years I have had issues with a lot of his thoughts on the CAT ACERT engines and his power box, so I have taken my business elsewhere. I don't think they do anymore maintnance than say engine related things with the occasional clutch thrown in. If you are looking for a shop to do general repairs I would look elsewhere...somewhere close to you that isn't a high performance shop.

    Yeah, i'm just looking for decent general maintenance shop(s) because i'm thinking of going O/Op.

    i figured he knew his stuff and had intergrity.

    i did see on the website that they do offer complete reman(rebuilt?) engines which i feel is good.

    Actually, yes, that's basically what i meant---general maintenance on the engine related stuff, not tires and suspension and other stuff.

    To me, the hardest part about becoming an O/Op is the engine because i'm not familiar with any of the engine managment systems or fuel systems on the 3 diesels. Tires, brakes, suspension even electrical is basically easy and staightfoward.

    Basically what i'm looking for is integrity and competency. i'm not worried about paying high $$$ if the quality is there.

    Car-wise i've dealt with shops that try to sell me stuff that i really didn't need but i didn't mind going along with it because they were good on the stuff that i really needed.

    For integrity and competency Pitts Power is one of the best. Also Antrim Diesel in green castle PA is a very good shop

    As far as i'm concerned...Pittsburg Power is the way to go....Add up to 225 Hp and Torque while improving fuel mileage....hell I'm in....

    The world has changed much since the Pittsburgh Power box was introduced in the 90's, unfortunately the box hasn't. If you want to build Hp and get better fuel mileage, there are many options available to you that will be much better

    just looked at there website not long ago...if there claims are misleading then there's alot of happy people on there for nothing....got lots of new product for Accert, ISX. those ain't that old a motors....If there are better please share....I just going by the website and what they claim..:biggrin_25524:

    I do not know anything about p.p. but I have read on this forum folks who had detroits with the power box on & you can read what happened to their engines. somewhere on here.

    You know a lot for "wanna be". Listen to Mr Haney and his customers. They will give you the facts not a sales pitch. PP is ok but many have severely damaged their engines by cranking them up and driving like bat out of Hell. ECM tuning and parts matched to the job you want your rig to do will give you as much or more power. And it will be reliable power. It's all about making money not sitting in shop.
