3k to get my license from a trucking school that FGM truck lines in bolton ran . but no one would hire me because of where i went . I then had to pay another $3500 to crossroads in barrie for what they call a refresher course that schneider was supposed to reimburse which never happened. Yes i lost money but it was what i had to do if i wanted to get hired and get my experience. This was back in 2008 by the way ,I also failed schneider’s physical test the first time and had to go to a gym and have help building strength in my knees and back . My problem with their test was not keeping my back straight when bending with having to lift a milk crate with weights

Everybody and their dog is sporting a Manitoba plate lately it seems and insurance increases are reflecting that.. outbound freight rates are terrible here unless you have something dedicated.PS it was $6800 in 1995 for my training through a professional school that also had around 6 weeks or so highway training running team . Companies still wanted 5 years experience so I hauled grain to start
