So Southern Pines Trucking offered me a job. But currently the truck I normally drive. Is at a dealership in Indiana for transmission. So unsure if it's a good idea to leave company I'm at. With a truck hundreds of miles away from a terminal. I have been in a temporary truck for about 2 weeks now.

What type of freight are you currently pulling at your present job?

Just dry van stuff.

If it helps....
The cryo job will be more recession-resistant than dry van.
Unless the dry van is pulling fairly specialized freight.

What I haul hasn't changed over the 4 years at this company.
My main thing I'm wondering. If it's a good idea to leave current company leaving one of their trucks at the dealership. Like when I leave current truck will be dropped off at a terminal. But my normal truck is currently at a dealership with no transmission. Which I still have somethings in -
In that case -- if you truly want to transition over to tanker -- cryo will be tough to beat (for pay, other advantages, etc) vs other options.
Also -- can't you be a company driver over at Southern Pines -- until your truck is fixed?

I have a feeling I can't. My current company doesn't even know I'm looking elsewhere
-
That's perfect!
My previous "homework" with Southern Pines....suggests they employ BOTH company drivers, & O/Os.

this was the indeed posting that I saw when I applied
