Possibly a medical emergency?
Unless it was shown to be a planned attack, someone high on illegal drugs etc, no, I wouldn't advocate for the death penalty.
If the driver just wasn't paying attention, then he needs some prison time etc but again, no, I wouldn't agree with the death penalty in this case based on just the video.
Just FYI, I am pro death penalty......TheLoadOut and Concorde Thank this. -
Report said the driver fled. $20 on it was stolen.

Not only fled, but stopped to grab something to eat!
TheLoadOut and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Nah, the medical emergency was in this drivers head. The fact they fled tells me, a stolen truck, a robbery, no license of any kind, or just downright pixxed off. Now with automatics, any perp can overtake a truck, and seemingly, the biggest and best way to make a getaway. Maybe drugs, but rest assured, we'll see a lot more of this.
For the record, death is too final for these people, some may actually want. I SAY, stick them in those urine soaked heckholes in Peru you see on 60 Minutes. That might change their minds. OUR PRISONS?? I hear there's like a 2 hour wait for the tennis courts at Florence Super Max,,

Oh my goodness. That's a bad one there. My heart goes out to those victims and their loved ones involved. I think the death penalty is a bit extreme. I can't imagine that he did that deliberately. He was going way too fast for one, I agree with a previous post thay he probably wasn't paying attention. The fact that he left the scene and got food is bothersome.
Bud A. and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
No reason for that speed. Something else is going on with this.
Bud A. and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
They are saying he was impaired.
Video of the aftermath.
1 dead after fiery crash in Parker; semi-truck driver accused of impairmentBud A., TheLoadOut, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 1 other person Thank this. -
If it’s definitely confirmed that he was impaired by alcohol and/or drugs, then yes, he should be charged with most seeious case of murder on the books..
Bud A., TheLoadOut, Grumppy and 2 others Thank this. -
