No, that all depends on those tickets you don't seem to think are important.
All of the posters above are current drivers. I am a former driver who now is in the business of finding drivers and running background checks on drivers seeking employment. Here's the deal: most good places won't even consider you if the tickets fall into any of the following: Speeding 15+, improper lane change, following too closely, using a handheld electronic device, reckless driving, or any type of moving violations totaling more than 3 in the past 2 years and/or 5 in past 4 years. In addition, you apparently took a few years out of a truck after driving less than a year, so you are now limited to companies with refresher courses.
Stop thinking about terminal amenities and start thinking about the grave situation you currently face. 9,100+ drivers just lost their jobs at YRC/USF, so you are now competing against 9,100 experienced drivers with clean records during the biggest freight recession in history. You bring nothing but a short stint behind the wheel a few years ago and increased insurance premiums due to recent careless driving in your personal vehicle, along with an apparent sense of entitlement that usually comes with drivers who have only experienced the good times.
You left an industry that was booming, only to return during its bust. Its not the same world it once was, and you're going to realize that soon enough.

Speeding tickets blow, it's not just pay the fine and be on your way. They can haunt you, and not many seem to know you can get a traffic lawyer.
The cop will say oh you can pay it here and this is your court date if you want to travel x amount of states taking time off from your job that will make it a PITA to get to anyway so just pay it. NO.
Google lawyers in the area, there is probably one that you can email a copy of the ticket to and they'll not only appear in court for you, they might just be able to get it dismissed or changed to something that's an erroneous non-moving violation. The lawyer will get paid and the court will still extort your hard earned money and be happy.Stonehjl Thanks this. -
