I’ve never seen door mounted mirrors on a later 379 389 doors. The glass sill is slightly sloped unlike the 2005 models.. it can be done..

Here’s an example of my doors I’m going with 4state trucks mirror brackets

 

I’d love to see pics of the swap I’ve did the glass and the mirrors in door still just with a cleaner look

 

I just put door mounted mirror brackets on a 02.. 379 that I put doors off a 388 on it ..the owner didn't want wing windows he wanted the cleaner look and his door were about junk
I got S/S mirror brackets for Horse & Buggy in Mo. they were pricey and I really didn't care for them they were polished and I had to bend them alittle to make they fit .. I would only do it again if I Is absolutely had too .. it was alot of time & work and I don't care for the look myself its not the best picture sorry
