If you are going to haul freight exclusively in Texas, you do not need an IFTA account. It's my understanding that if you stay in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana you do not need an IFTA account, BUT....you must purchase fuel in AR or LA anytime you go into those states, but only enough to cover the miles you traveled in said sate at the time you travel in said state.

If you are going to haul freight Interstate and need to have an IFTA Account, then go to this link to get started. That's what I did. International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)

Try going over their heads and contacting your state reps or gov office. Company I'm with had to do that.
