You worried about the people that want a 32 hour work week? Come on they are trying to hold them ransom over that deal. 40 percent increase and 32 hour work week. I would cross those lines in a heart beat. I need my bills paid before I worry about anyone crying about working 32 hours a week.kros, Constant Learner, dwells40 and 6 others Thank this.
-
No doubt look at what they want. 40 percent pay increase and 32 hour work week. Give me a break!Phoenix Heavy Haul, Dave_in_AZ, Short Fuse EOD and 3 others Thank this.

Yeah, let's make our goal to be happy with what we have. You got it all twisted man, the same as you think it's ok to live on $5k for a family of 7.
The more the factory union workers make, the more they spend and put back into economy. They pull wages up for everyone around them.
Who do you think contributes more, a redneck union dude, who buys a lifted F150, or a Walmart door greeter who can barely afford to buy food?Midwest Trucker, dosgatos, Rideandrepair and 4 others Thank this. -
It's a basis of negotiating, you ask for more and settle in the middle. The same as broker offers you $1000, you want $2000 and you settle on $1500.
When they finally reach a deal, it's gonna be somewhere in between. Everyone will have a chance to save face and move forwardRideandrepair, gentleroger, rollin coal and 1 other person Thank this. -
They offered 20 percent already increase. No word from the Union. Unions are a joke and I will stand by that until I die. In the old days I can say they had a place. Now they are just money sucking ticks. Sure I am unpopular for that belief but this is the good old USA and I have that right!Cdemars316, Phoenix Heavy Haul, Nostalgic and 12 others Thank this.

Man, you can't worry only about yourself, because eventually people in your community won't have money to spend on anything besides necessities and it's gonna affect you as well. There gonna be less freight to moveRideandrepair and gentleroger Thank this.
-
More money for less work, but it will pull up the economy around then because they will spend money and make the world a better place for everyone. Just like Detroit.exhausted379, Dave_in_AZ, Jubal Early Times and 3 others Thank this.

I understand your feelings, but the ones that get really hurt by a strike are all of the much smaller vendors fabricating parts for the line.
-
I can only worry about myself. No one else will ever pay for my bills. If I cannot make it then whom am I gonna ask to pay my bills, the union?Midwest Trucker, Cdemars316, Blue jeans and 5 others Thank this.
