Second picture was just for the nail. that little gouge isn't going to hurt anything most likely.

The bad part is I took it to TA in Troy, IL and was told 'that's normal'... I've seen plenty of trailers with a tiny bit seeping out. At that point, you kinda just have to deal with it. I thought that trailer was pretty severe, but it is what it is. Sent a message to dispatch it would need to be loaded for TX or anywhere down 44 and swing by the shop. The problem is I sound like an idiot saying the tech at TA cleared it, but I disagree lol. In good conscience, I at least needed to make the suggestion it gets looked at again. Whether they do or not is their prerogative.
Not sure why they'd have you wait for that Houston load either. With fuel burn and the few tolls on I-44 in OK, it's probably not a huge difference to route that way.

They've got me on a Sunday night Temple load if you want to ask them for a swap. :D

Managed to make it just in time to get my C service done at the terminal. It wouldn't have been the end of the world to wait til tomorrow, but getting it done today and a tire replaced allows me to run down to Joplin, do a 34, and then run the rest of the way on Sunday morning. They've got me pre planned on a load out of Houston on Monday, so I'll wave at ya.

Staying out this weekend cuz I wanna be home this next Thursday night. The boss didn't have much worth a darn to do but he came up with a Wisconsin delivery and offered to pay me 1 day of layover to go with it. So a free 200 buck incentive to help out. Kinda sucked an egg cuz we missed out on a load from Nebraska to Pennsylvania that woulda paid 5k to the truck. Man that gravy wouldn't a been hard to swallow.

A lot of companies stick with drum brakes cuz a complete brake job on drum brakes is only 2500. A full disc brake job is 5000. I've got all new pads and 2 new calipers on this trailer and the boss has about 3k invested in just that.

Gonna try to start getting my tanks polished. Gonna order mack emblem scuff panels for below my doors. The boss approved chicken lights for the panels under my bunk on the sides. Gotta get through cedar rapids to get that done. Thinking about getting the 2 way red / amber bullet lights. Walcott is supposed to be checking inventory for my rear center caps with red centers. Once all that's done then maybe I'll be getting red front an rear tank covers. Gonna try to get a diamond deck plate cover made for the space covering my air tanks inside my bottom step. It's gonna look nice when it's all done.

    dwells40 Thanks this.

That would've been a gravy run, so you're paid percentage? At least your boss looked out for you and he pays for every single thing you do. He really appreciates your work.

That's the funny thing, I have Coke delivering to Houston at 10 pm Sunday night....I had no idea they took loads this late. I always thought they took it only in the day.

Yea I am paid by the load. I get 25 an hour for detention after 2 hrs, 200 a day for layover, 400 a month towards health insurance, and paid vacation. Don't have dental, vision, or a 401k. The dental an vision I can do without. The dental I had at climate was only good for check ups, cleanings and any fillings. It wouldn't cover getting my partials replaced. Reason they gave is they wouldn't cover replacing teeth that had already been replaced. Kinda ignorant if ya ask me cuz no ones partials or dentures are made to last longer than 10 yrs. Ya gotta get root canals an crowns or implants for a longer solution. I do need to start some sorta retirement account so we'll have something more than SSI when we retire. Either that or work till I'm 80.
