Does the hiring process usually take a while? I applied Sunday and didn't hear anything by Tuesday so I gave them a call. The recruiter said they had to look over my application and they'll call back in a few. I still haven't heard back. I even tried calling again twice and nobody answered. I have 6 years driving experience almost all OTR so I would think they would have no problem hiring me.

Mine went pretty quick, I heard back in 24 hours.
It may depend on what state you’re in and how quickly they can access your records. -
I applied in Visalia yesterday, So here in Cali would that make me a wineo running alot of 99. Or is there other stuff moving around here in the food grade tankers.

Scratch that, I finally got ahold of Alyssa and she went over my application to confirm everything. She said everything checks out and I just need to send a copy of the accident report for an accident I was involved in last year. Some guy in a fully loaded cement truck wasn't paying attention and rear ended me. Luckily nobody was hurt though.
Edit: they didn't need an accident report. They just wanted my statement on the accident in an email.Last edited: Sep 21, 2023

A lot of orange juice goes from Tipton to Spokane. A lot of apple juice comes back from Washington to the Los Angeles area. We also haul dairy from Phoenix to Tulare and malt from Phoenix to the Los Angeles area. We haul yeast from both Iowa and Memphis to California. Once you’re in the Northwest sometimes we haul cranberry from Oregon to Florida and can then be bounced back to California with a load of juice from Florida. Juice comes from McAllen/Mexico to both the Phoenix area and Los Angeles area. I’ve taken yeast from Bakersfield to Los Angeles and Bakersfield to San Francisco as well. I’ve been to several wineries in California and picked up loads that went to Canada where I swapped with passport drivers in New York. We also pull dairy products from Idaho to Los Angeles as well as other places. I haul more juice than anything when I’m out West.asphaltreptile311, Nashville, Cobrawastaken and 5 others Thank this.
