Oooooo wee!!! Professor you ran that 44 eastbound by Rolla I assume. I messed up a couple of months ago and took thr local lane. Me and the truck took a beating. Westbound isn't quite as killer, but the eastbound side had me checking out stuff to make sure it was all in place

I came up from Orange, TX with another rubber load, and dropped Tuesday. Got reloaded with Coke and brought it out here to Colorado Springs. This is one of my favorite Coke locations. They have overnight parking on the street and the peace here, is fulfilling

I believe that any driver claiming that they shower every single day is a liar. Even with paper logs, there days that got skipped. I have to strategically plan showers on my runs. There are some places, like Aurora, CO for instance, you'll be waiting all night to shower there. Each Colorado run will always have a Salina, KS shower break built in, both directions. I've never had toneait for a shower in Salina. Once I started notating tendencies of stops, it boosted my efficiency on the road. Also, those drivers claiming that lie, there are states where you won't see a stop of any kind for many miles so they don't have to perp for anybody. We all know the truth lol

Doing reefer or dry van, I don't see a point in showering everyday. I'd say I shower 4-5 times a week. I never go longer than every other day, but it's a pain stopping and sitting around waiting on a shower being 4th in line. All that just to do more laundry lol. Might be gross by some people's standards, but I'd rather shower one night and then have the freedom the next to run out my hours as long as possible.

TX to Colorado is a nice little run. Good change of pace from our normal lanes. I'll give Coke credit -- theyre not always the fastest, but theyre consistently a decent place to deliver. Can usually bank on being out in a reasonable time at most locations. Alsip, IL is a different story though.

As expected, I'm headed from Palmyra to Edwardsville. Hoping to make it far enough tonight that I can deliver tomorrow and pick up my next load, which I'm guessing will be out of Midwest too. Will be a 3000 or so mile week and majority of it was drop and hooks. I've been lucky on trailer conditions this week. 3 for 3 on completely legal trailers. No 'good enoughs', just completely fine trailers. Knocking on wood because that means something crazy will happen if I get too optimistic lol.

Hmmmm maybe so....they definitely have their hands full this weekend. I'll be watching too. I went to Monte Vista to reload taters, for Springfield. It doesn't deliver til 11 pm Sat night. I've got 550 to go, so I'm gonna finish off this load later and basically take Saturday off.

I didn't go Texas to Colorado actually. I went Texas to Illinois, then to Colorado. I did that Orange to Mt Vernon rubber load. It was a slow start getting out to Colorado Springs, as traffic got me twice within the first 3 hrs.

I do agree with your shower sentiment lol. Skipping a day isn't the end of the world. Sometimes I can't get an actual shower. There were times on the road where I had to pour water in a hard hat and do my business. Working for Climate makes it majorly easy to stay on a shower routine.
