All i know, is in west texas, theres nothing but dusty beatup trucks hauling all sorts of oil field contraptions, and tank configurations for oil field. The loves i fueled at was full of them. I was the only non-oilfield truck in sight .

I think i know the one you speak of. It's been like that forever. Reminds me of a boom town or what the early west must have been like.Vampire Thanks this.

Not that it matters but I have always had respect for you just based on this forum how you carry yourself on here. More like the kind of person I would enjoy being around. Knowing you have adopted a child makes me respect you even more.Jubal Early Times, 77fib77, Vampire and 4 others Thank this.

It’s not the exception around here, or up around my hometown in South Dakota for that matter. Or maybe the people that I know and spend my time around actually have their crap together and don’t make poor choices. I guess it could be that. Either way, it’s not impossible to do it on one income.Big Road Skateboard and Siinman Thank this.

I appreciate that. He’s my partner’s nephew and her sister has been in a coma for almost 2 years. So we went ahead and adopted him and everything was finalized about 3 months ago.RockinChair, Jubal Early Times, Bret1984 and 3 others Thank this.

This I totally agree with. I was buying my house when mortgage rates were at the lowest, freight rates were at the highest and I got approved for $2 mil
Lol, no thanks. Only paid $370k and have a less stressful life -
Not arguing with that. It probably costs you $3-4k per month to live there. Any trucker can afford thatBret1984 Thanks this.

Nice and cheap. A young dual income couple with minimal debt could put 20% down on this and probably own the property free and clear within 5 years. At that point they could start a family and live on a single income in a paid for house.
Jubal Early Times, Siinman and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -
You're no good at subtle condescending
