I’m home every Friday, usually in time for dinner with my family, and I go back out after dinner on Sunday. Dedicated regional out of Dallas, on salary ($75k/year).

JB has good home time depending on the account, and if you can tolerate a baby monitor in your face. I'm home every week from Saturday afternoon until Tuesday morning. I frequently get a night or 2 at home during the week as well.

He could accurately call himself an owner operator without owning a truck. He owns and operates a business. Leasing is his business model. The wisdom of that business model can be debated, but he can still be a business owner.

But leasing you don't own the truck. The company does. Because if you really owned it. You won't be stuck with whatever speced truck they got. Also can pull loads not from the company. Leasing your either doing crazy weekly payments on a truck that you will either own after 3 years. Or it's just getting sent into the abyss never seen again
