    Question, years ago I remember seeing a spiral cable cover, not sure if it was magnetic used to cover the cb coax cable on mirrors instead of cable ties. Does anyone know what that would have been called?? Also is it illegal to use a spinner knob on the steering wheel? Thanks

    I have a spinner knob on my steering wheel and I have been inspected several times by the DOT. Nothing has ever been said about it.

    Years ago, I received a ticket in the state of Washington for having a spinner knob. When I questioned it, he had the law taped to his countertop for me to read. blah blah blah, re-thinking it may have been a warning.

    I don't run with a spinner anymore, but when I did I always "hid" it with my hand while crossing the scales.

    All the Walmart cabovers had spinner knobs. If they were illegal, that would not have occurred. They kinda died out when we began the transition to conventionals in 1999.
