For anyone curious, those 'ovals' were one of the plies you don't want to see right before the tire gets shiny and metallic lol. I've never seen it, but it does make sense. Don't do what I did and run it out for 2000 miles after discovering it. Picked up 2512 last night and made it to the Flying J a mile down the road and one of the dry rotted air bags decided to spring a leak. Was a convenient time since I was headed to Union anyways.

They got a new steer tire thrown on the passenger side. I don't think they aligned it, but either way, stress levels down a town. New air bag thrown on and marker light changed out all in an hour's time.

@bryan21384 I forgot what you said his name was, but you were right -- the red headed guy in the shop warms up after a while. He was even courteous enough to break down the steer wheel/tire instead of just slapping on a new wheel since I try and keep the truck clean

Yeah if you polish your rims and such and keep your truck cleaned up all you got to do is tell him when they change any tires to please keep the same rims and they have no problem doing that for you. They always did it for us

Anyone know who's in 1226.? Just wondering I seen them parked up at the Love's truck stop up at Exit 115 up between Madison and Portage Wisconsin the other day when I stopped in there to get a shower.

Oh you must be talking about Marshall I think. They are nicer to drivers who take care of the equipment. Keeping it clean and washed, not costing the company big money, thay wins the shop guys over.

They would do that for me too, but even if I had one that less than stellar, I could always restore it some good polish. I never minded using the polish because it gave me a nice workout for a few hours.

1226 doesn't ring a bell for me, but those chicken and dumplins look delicious man. I'm so hungry now. Once I leave the shipper, it's going to be a taco night for real

I don't gotta polish the rims on the mack. They're dura brites an they seem to shine up without polishing.

Decided to see what the air fryer hype was all about when I found one on sale at the Junction City Walmart. Decided I'd play it safe and use pizza rolls for the test run lol. Will be trying Salmon in it for tomorrow's day off dinner. Highly recommend and easy to store in the top cubby designed for the top bunk. Dinner in 10 minutes with minimal clean up works for me 20231001_191703.jpg

Oh dude an air fryer is a game changer. I’ll put in potatoes and have loaded baked potatoes. Also reheating pizza in them, you get away from that sogginess that occurs when nuking it in the microwave. You won’t be disappointed. 10/10 good purchase!
