The thing I liked the most was detention pay on the food grade loads. If we showed up and they didn’t have room for the product we started getting detention pay at our appointment time, no free two hours.

We weren’t allowed on top of the trailers at any place we loaded, and at delivery there’s no reason to ever leave the ground.

 

You should absolutely go for it. The more valuable you are to the company, the less likely you will be laid off when times get slow.

Also, dry bulk is easy work. You just have to pay attention.
