Had a great chat with Paul today unfortunately he doesn't have any trucks open at this time. He has my name and number if anything changes.

 

I spoke with Paul as well a year or so ago when I thought life was taking me in the direction of Missouri, class act, seems like the type of guy you’d be proud to work for.

 

Fair enough.

Also bleah this st.joe DDG plant is glacially slow. Got here at 11am still sitting here at 9pm lol machine has jammed twice on this one truck infront of me and looks like its gonna jam a 3rd time soon if the slow flow is an indicator. No way i can make my delivery cutoff tomorrow either. Oh well these things happen. I gots books and i gots dr.pepper. ran out of pique chips an hour ago though.

 

Aaaannnd the dr.pepper is gone....feck lol

 

Welp. This is a new record. 11am to 3am to get loaded. Never gotten my 10 in line before lol. One of the regulars said he got his 34 in line once at this place....and that 10+ hours was "normal"

 

I would’ve went out of my mind @Arctic_fox you’re a much more patient man than me. Been a busy few days for me, started Monday bouncing up to Jax where I loaded cold patch for south Florida, it was a heavy load though so back road running, got that off and went to punta gorda and loaded shell, made it home with 1 minute on my 11. Yesterday I dropped the shell south of Iax then went back up and loaded for anniston, by the grace of god I got that off yesterday afternoon with 3 minutes to spare to closing time, shagged over to Tallapoosa GA and called it a night, got up at 3:30 this morning went to Junction City GA and loaded granite rock and was back to the house by 12:30 today, I can still put on my traveling shoes when I need to, but boy do I hate running that stressed.

 

The picture looked cooler in my head then how it turned out, either way, camped out again tonight at one of my favorite hole in the wall truck stops, Jimmies in Lee FL, it’s a dive but it’s the real deal, I’m an old soul so I dig places like this, takes me back to what I think trucking was like back in the glory days. Safe travels all.
