BELLY DUMP TRUCK DRIVER (CDL A)

Why This Role Matters
At Wm. D. Scepaniak, our Belly Dump Truck Drivers are essential to keeping projects on schedule and operations running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for safely hauling and delivering key materials like gravel, sand, and rock — the building blocks of roads, highways, and infrastructure. Your work directly impacts jobsite productivity and project timelines, making you a vital part of our success!

What You’ll Be Doing
• Haul aggregate materials using belly dumps and side dumps to support construction and highway projects.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure DOT compliance to keep your rig running safely and efficiently.
• Adapt on the job by overcoming challenges with quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Travel across the Upper Midwest as part of our 100% portable operation — primarily in Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
• Follow strict safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and the public while transporting materials.

What We’re Looking For
• Class A CDL with experience operating both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Clean driving record and a Federal Medical Card (or ability to obtain).
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations and safety-first practices.
• 2+ years of experience or 50,000+ miles of commercial truck driving.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug tests and background checks.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate and work with team members.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, 5-6 days a week, with flexibility for travel.

The Fine Print
Reports To: Trucking Foreman
Classification: Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $27-$30/hour
Schedule: April - December (weather & project permitting)
