Looking to haul dry van otr lower 48 with a lot of drop and hook. And steady freight. Out for around 2-3 weeks

I have been operating under dot regulations. I run an eld, subject to the same h.o.s. regulations, random dot drug tests, have to keep my medical up to date. Etciraqralph43 Thanks this.

If the economy tanks (pun intended
) in 2024, as some predict, the suggestions I made above will be more recession-resistant than almost all of dry van duty.
The same will be true with the reefer fleets.
But the general consensus here on the Forum is that tanker duty will give you markedly better working conditions.
That hazmat endorsement will also come in handy -- even with dry van duty.
Been there, done that....

You make a good point. I’ve been considering adding the hazmat onto my license

Coast to coast reefers.

In your initial post you didn't say you want dry van.
Good luck finding coast to coast dry van drop & hook.
In the current recession, reefers and food grade tankers is the way to go.

Good advice. I’ll keep that in mind. I wish I would’ve know that before applying to crete. I’ve heard such good things about that company. I was really looking forward to working for them. I guess I’ll just have to keep looking and be more careful with the wording on my next application.Chinatown Thanks this.
