Low Turbo boost

This was a 24 model and the cold side is 13” silicone. The hot side was 20.75” from each end of the boots and stainless.
I think the older ones used a longer cold side.

 

Big Sky truck parts in Missoula had an elbow deep pile of old intercooler piping. I found piping to fit an old 87 peterbilt there but they've sold everything and retired. You gotta find an old timer that has been hoarding parts for a few decades, worthless junk until someone like us comes along in need!

The ecm controls the turbo by only allowing a proper amount of fuel based in boost pressure, if you have a boost leak the ecm will only inject what is needed.
Low power on a 60 series alot of times is the boost sensor, listen for high pitch noise while under boost, seen the intake man leak at the gaskets, seen the small pipe that supply air to the compressor have a hole and so on
