10 roads is a joke. I worked there, apploed for a specific lane, got it, lasted a day and they "lost the contract" and then i was stuck running random days as a fill in, regardless of rebidding on a new route and getting it, after 2 months of it i said f this and quit.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Attention all company drivers!!!

May have just given it to someone else, It is hard to tell when they lie, always rush with words and actions to take in an effort to butter you up.Stormmc2 Thanks this.

That's the norm. Hurry up and wait and spread the red carpets and glame out to attract drivers lol. No one has ever been 100% with me in any trucking job. I think the best was maybe 50% honest lol.9jgf9er Thanks this.

All I can say is if you want to drive get with large American-owned and ran companies Like JB Hunt etc....JB Hunt after the hurricane let me live for about a month in the truck I was running until I was able to start the process of repairing my home. That's why JB Hunt is first on my list as one of the best companies to drive for where you feel like you driving for a company that has resources and not the Mob. I drove for forwardair as a lease rent the pay was about average $900 a week. I think I was driving Point Logistics truck and they governed it at 65mph so dispatch didn't pay me much attention about getting me loads. 65MPH will have you on the road all day. But overall I like working there very well managed company with showers and parking at almost every terminalStormmc2 Thanks this.

So here is my question.
I have been driving for about 6 years and I still don't understand how we can stay out OTR for week(s) to a month at a time and only earn a minimum of 1 day off per 6 to 7 days a wk. So, 4 day(s) home after being gone from our family for a month. The powers that be and dispatch are home every night plus the weekends off, that is 8 days of a month and home every night. I understand this is a profession that we have chosen but, in all fairness, this is a sweat shop type set up for companies with drivers. We get paid crap, we eat crap, and then the ultimate we miss family crap because companies would rather us stay out making them money. If it wasn't for us, the companies would bottom out, with us ppl could barely eat or build. What if we stopped until they changed the situations. I mean we allow this to happen to us, so they continue to ride with it. I have even tried leasing op, that was a failure from the time I signed the paperwork because no one is really paying us to be able to make those high ### truck payments, plus fuel, insurance, maintenance, tags, and IFTA stickers then you have to get healthcare at an affordable rate so good luck with that. We need to make a change. -
It's your company. Mine is pretty lax. Go home when I want, and how long I want. But staying home too long means no moola.

Makes socialized medicine look pretty good. Obama care would be a good thing if it actually worked. I don't know who it helps. The poor have medicaid. If you make a living. You get high deductibles.
-
The VA is Socialized Medicine. We've all seen how well that works, with vets dying on waiting lists for care...

I think some of those companies actually say no CB in an effort to keep thier drivers from learning anything, hearing anything, other than what they have been told by the company.
Magoo1968 Thanks this.
