They are hanging on by a string right now, Beechvtail. They have been in bankruptcy repeatedly over the years.

It is only a matter of time before the repo man gets the remaining few tractors, that Cargo attempts to squander.

Whether that be at the yard or in route OTR, they will be confiscated.

I feel sorry for the drivers involved with this mess. I wish them the best

I Hear that it is more than bankruptcy or hanging on by a string. I hear that they are under serious numerous federal and state criminial and civil investigations. I know of previous drivers and office employees that have been questioned over illegal procedures etc.. sexual harrasment of female employees by the owner, fraud, drug running by the drivers and driver manager.

 

I don't know about all the crud running, but I was and am still an employee of this enterprise and have never run drugs, but after telling them I had a kidney stone and a sinus infection they told me to keep driving. So i did just that and then I came home,I have been there for over a year and really made some good money there for awhile but we all know they pay #### and if you have a criminal record in this country it don't matter that you payed you debt to society you still aren't allowed to succeed but i have that year now and we will see where things go from here

 

I just checked their website and had no problems.
According to a driver who works there, the banks are giving Jim a better payment plan and the repo men will stay away.

If the company was doomed I dont think Curtis would have came back from another company. If the company makes through Curtis will make the difference

 

What about the payroll taxes that he has not paid for an entire year? Will they give him a payment plan on that too? I understand that they have been deducting federal tax from our paychecks and not sending it to the government. I spoke with the local IRS office and they would neither confirm or deny this but they did say that it would not effect my refund. Once the employer deducts it from your check it is their responsibility to pay the federal government.

 

it won't affect squat i am getting mine back tomorrow and your right about Curtis coming back, but in my opinion when they let chad get away they let one of there best dispatchers go and the one of them that would make them the most money and help pull them out of this, anyway as you can tell I am done with this company still can't breath right well hope they pull through I have alot of friends that work there still and don't want them to be out of work

 

I agree with you 100% on CHAD. I like curtis but he does some really stupid things. Usually if you fire someone once it is a good sign that it isnt working out so why rehire them? Chad treated everyone fairly he didnt have kiss butt buddies like Curtis does.

I doubt that Carolina Cargos problems came from Curtis or Chad.
Curtis was offered more money to come back so obviously Jim understands what he is worth. Curtis goes back years with Carolina Cargo so there is a track record that is proven. Carolina Cargo has lost custumers on account of driver behaviour, immature,unprofessional,unrefined,selfish behaviour.
We know who they are...

 

If you truly know Curtis then you surely know that everything that he says needs to be taken with a "Truckload of salt" not a grain, a truckload!!! And about the driver behavior, You get what you pay for!!! Just some of us need the experience so you do get the bargain. But when you pay .10 cents you know good a well that you are hiring the worst of the worst. Sometimes you will luck up and get guys that need the OTR experience and will suffer through it for 24 months.
