I am a former Roehl driver .... I had a thread on the Roehl similar to what I am starting here ... My purpose is not to praise nor bash any company but simply state my experience as a SNI driver ... I attended orientation and was officially hired on 2/18/2010 as an experienced driver ... From orientation, I like the stress on safety and mutual respect ... As stated to us give respect and receive respect ... I also like the 'complaint review' board that consists of 3 drivers and 2 office people ... I like the fact that per diem is not 'forced' on drivers in fact it was not even mentioned during orientation (I am not a fan of per diem) ... I start wed 2/24 as a dedicated Walmart driver out of Washington Court House (out 5 days a week) ...

Good luck with SNI. Hubby is there after we left Roehl. I had to stay home because of my knee however it's in good shape now and I hope to be joining him by the end of March. His truck number is 45386. Welcome to the pumpkin class.mycorky Thanks this.

Sweet grc. Glad to see u started this. i use to drive for roehl also. I ran out of the dayton,Oh yard. Only could stand it for 8 months. Then i hired on at Barr-Nunn. They were great when i started, but have went down hill fast. After being there a year and a half,i lucked into a local job in dayton home everyday pulling for a company on a toyota dedicated account. I'm make more now than i did on the road.
I use to have a friend that did that wal-mart dedicated. And if i every went back out on the road, might consider that.
U planning on maybe going O,Op with schnieder? I know u had an interest in that before. -
Like with any company they have their good and bad....I've found since returning to SNI in 10/09 that the good outweighs the not so good. I think the key is staying on good ground with your DBL...Mine has been great (Tom in Carlisle) He did have a DSR working with him that could be a bit short at times but he's moved to another board and my new DSR is wat better (Ann)....I'm hoping that the economy will get better sooner or later so my pay will stabilize a bit...I've had a few weeks where I took home $1,000+, but also a few that made me feel like I was working at McD's...hehe
, but most are around $750-$800....

thur was first day driving .... truck is ok at least it didn't break down .... no apu and bunk heater is broke but at least I can idke without the engine shutting off .... SNI provides cleaning supplies for the truck so there is no excuse not to clean after your week .... the account I'm on (Walmart) so far seems to be good .... can possibly be home during the week as well as my mon and tues days off ...... well that's it for now
JustSonny Thanks this. -

They have been good to hubby. DeMoine, Ia OC is kind of like Gary is to Roehl. The dispatching out of there is below par. However he is making ok money and the people there treat you like you have When daughter had emergency surgery they got him right home no questions asked.

well it's been 3 wks with SNI and so far things have been very good ... my miles in 5 days at SNI equal 7 days at Roehl ... take home pay is on average, a little less than double my previous employer ..... of course I am on a dedicated account now so comparison my not be fair ... but I do not wait for a load any more, dispatcher is very good, we plan our own routes, so over all change was a very god move for me... Roehl was ok for a bottom feeder company but get your experience and move on....
