Once that driver gets to his 10 year anniversary, they will let him cut the fingers off those gloves, and he will be a true road warrior. He’ll be out there chewing pot gummies and sliding tandems and alley docking like a pro, and all the yellow cars in the country will not be able to stop him.

Wow, this is great. Hope the OP sticks around. Not hating on him it is just that I have a good sense of humor. Thought he is posting in jest. Then I got ignored. Don't think I will sleep today. Again crayon dude....just kidding.Crude Truckin', Kyle G. and Big Road Skateboard Thank this.

I'll bite on this one, but first @expedite_it maybe you should tell us more about yourself. If these truly are legit questions and you aren't just trolling us explain how. Are you from a 3rd world country, did you never have toys to play with growing up? What is it?? The reason you get all these smart ### replies is because you don't seem to listen to what anyone says or have the ability to think even just a little bit for yourself. Some of these questions are so basic to anyone that has been around a truck for 5 minutes let alone 10 years. Or for that matter even people that have never seen a truck would understand some of these things. so maybe if you explained how or why these things escape you, you would get better answers without all the sarcasm. Or just quit trolling.
That said I'd bet 90% or more of the guys here never went to "Mechanic school" I know I never did and I can fix a lot of stuff.
mechanics is hard to explain. A good mechanic can just look at something and see how it works, we don't need to be taught every single little detail. hands on learning, listening and watching etc...Crude Truckin', Sons Hero, Old_n_gray and 1 other person Thank this. -
Funny thing is, we are now 14 posts into this thread, and I don’t think the OP has seen a single one because we are all on ignore.SmallPackage and Big Road Skateboard Thank this.

Man, I guess I'm missing the joke.
I thought it was a legitimate question.
I think being a mechanic is a pretty good and steady job.
They have those courses here at the technical college. If I were younger, I'd think seriously about attending. I can't think of a shop that wasn't looking for mechanics. And it's pretty much 5 days a week with pretty decent pay.
Trailer mechanic, not so much.
Good luck.expedite_it and Kyle G. Thank this. -
You should follow the OP’s other threads. That is exactly how he sucks people in!Big Road Skateboard Thanks this.

My school had an refrigeration class for reefers and got us our epa 608 universal/609 certifications. As far as the running gear goes it's pretty simple stuff.

This thread is not supposed to be about me. This thread is about diesel mechanic schools. I don't understand how having toys to play with when I grew up would tell me whether trade schools that teach how to repair semi-trucks teach students how to repair trailers as well.
I know that diesel mechanic trade schools teach students how to repair the semi-trucks. All I did was ask if these trade schools also teach people how to repair trailers. Why can't anyone just answer the question?
