Loaded at Atlas roofing in Middletown, Ohio about 6 months ago, they obviously secured a contract because it was flooded with them...
Needless to say, unless they loose the contract I'll never load there again, it was already getting bad enough with all the clueless flip-floppers.
Luckily for me, in the flatbed world that's the only place I've ever loaded with them at.
With such a simple strap and go load they put on a show for the biggest douche bag, watching them and the flip floppers, was more entertaining than a hot dog race at the ball game...
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Starting to think I should just stick with what I know, ending up in WA again this week and east bound fell through, again, board looks ugly and not sure I want to bounce east with snow coming, or least to PA and see if I can LTL back up for another ~5k, beats a 7k load and driving across with it

I imagine the folks at Convoy might have been saying the same thing a month ago.......because, let's face it, Landstar is really no different than Convoy.....only bigger.

i think Western Express should change their name to Somalian Express. They’re big on third world recruiting who think they hit the lottery at a clean place to live ( the truck ) and $.40 cents a mile . They do charge them for ripping off roofs of their dryvans and smashing up their trucks. I heard that from one of their drivers who’s truck I had to back in , because he couldn’t and I didn’t want him taking off my fender. . If they choose to keep the name western express they should at least make all the Somalians wear cowboy hats to keep their western theme. LolSons Hero, autopaint, Dave_in_AZ and 7 others Thank this.

Was flipping thru the channels today and decided I’d give Road Dog a quick listen. Took me all of about 10 minutes to remember why I can’t stand most of the shows. Had a caller, a supposed owner operator who’s whole idea was the government needs to limit brokers to a 10% cap because if that happened then guys wouldn’t have to run illegal anymore to make ends meet. He also said that brokers don’t have any overhead other than their power and internet bill to which the ignorant host said “yeah all they do is click a mouse a couple times and then take half the profit”.
It’s amazing how many “business owners” want the government to tell another business how much they can profit. I can only assume those individuals would be fine with the government also telling them how much they can profit with their truck.Big Road Skateboard, mp4694330, JonJon78 and 12 others Thank this. -

You should listen to this clown group The National Owner Operators Association (TNOOA) . They are one of the ones that started the 10 percent junk. They have been crying about it for awhile on twitter. A bunch of crying babies is all I see.
Best thing about the USA is the free market will make or break you. I have no problems with brokers making what they can, just like me making what I can on loads. If I have a relationship with the broker, I am well aware that they need to win and I do to. So some loads they win on and some loads I win on. Most of the time we both win so it works great for both of us.Big Road Skateboard, mp4694330, JonJon78 and 4 others Thank this.
