Yes I agree. He made me feel comfortable and capable. He has the patience of a saint and the ability to convey a concept so you can understand it. I miss him. Just wish more of the "Roehl Team" was like him.

So could I ask for recommendations as to what other companies to consider? I've had only four weeks of experience from training and my options seem very bleak
Now that I have my CDL I've been looking into local companies with local runs but without any experience other than my EVO training my options seems limited with the starter companies like Werner; JB Hunt, and Swift
I'd like to continue as a flatbedder and I contacted Maverick but being terminated by Roehl they told me they don't hire terminees until after a year of termination.
Also; the day of my termination I inquired about an appeal for my evaulator's decision and I was told I'd be receiving information a week later in regards to this appeal process. I'm anxiously waiting because I will be filing an appeal for a second road evaluation; I'll personally drive to Gary myself for another chance with Roehl. In my opinion they're still a good company and I'd still consider working for them. I just have different opinions with some of the RDTC trainers. I'm just not going to hold my breath that tight though. -
Yeah I know your pain. I was terminated by Roehl in June but my story is long and posted somewhere in this forum. Anyway, many companies won't hire because of that termination no matter how stupid the reason is. Get your DAC report to see exactly what Roehl put on it. I have 3 years experience so I was able to get hired on by Schneider. Have you tried Smith Transport?

Good luck with the appeal. My opinion of the fairness of this company has gone down hill but I'm hoping if you have to appeal to RTDC your luck will be better. Have you tried talking to Butch there?
-
Thanks, I requested my DAC report from hireright.com (referred by this site).
Is Butch in charge of RDTC, I thought it was Steve LaPoint (SP?). There are so many guys there I don't know the ranks of command. However, I doubt talking to Butch will do any good, the decision has already been made from higher management. -
That's what I thought. I was told I wasn't sorry enough and willing to be "counseled". It was a joke but in any case I hope you can move on to another company soon and keep Roehl in your rear view mirror. Butch was in charge of training the instructors when I was there. I don't remember a Steve unless it's the guy that was an instructor trainee when I was at their school.

Jason is awesome and so is Claude....and I do not know why Roehl lets Steve keep on screaming at students...unless students are afraid...which I can certainly understand...we all need jobs!!
