You're 3 years in at UPS vs practically New at Walmart. This is a very tough call but man that ups money is INSANE. Sounds hard to give up on.

I wouldn't blame you for going back. I'd hope you're stacking as much cash as possible either way.

I would ride out with UPS and being that you are "young" :D:D. I would come to the realization that this is a long-term perspective so you flow with the lay-offs until your time comes. Don't hesitate to look for other driving opportunities at different hubs. You may get a permanent gig at a different hub. Your "young" for now:rolleyes::D

3 years in. Have you been laid off before? This might put you in for the long run. Think if that was my choice I’d be looking at staying with UPS.

Im at UPS and If I was in your position I would define try to stick it out. You will be at top rate pretty soon and things will get better. I’m also fairly new at UPS and I already told myself I will do whatever it takes to stay here.

For mileage runs it’s $1.03 and it will be $1.14 in 2027.

I did 10 years at UPS and 3 Months at Walmart. It would be an easy decision for me, but both jobs are good as you already know spending time at both. It will suck to get laid off again in January, but where do you want to be 10 years from now? Have you talked to management or the union to see when they plan to add full time jobs and when would you be brought back full time?

They have no idea, it’s up in the air. I’m just preparing for the worse.

That makes it a really tough decision. If you don’t accept the Peak job does that cause you to loose call back rights with your seniority when they bring people back full time?
