Not really, broker didn’t say it’s our mistake because we emailed him that there is a discrepancy in temperature and he emailed back that his customer wants 34F
-
None of what the broker says matters. The only thing that matters is what temp is on the BOL.
dunchues, Concorde and bryan21384 Thank this. -
We followed what broker said and this is why we are not responsible for the claim.
-
That's not how it it works.
JimmyTwoTimes, Concorde and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Rule number one about hauling reefer, always go by what the bills say.Concorde and bryan21384 Thank this.
-
Doesn't matter. Brokers will tell you anything. I pick up loads that have the temp in the information. I'll precool to that temp. I'll get to the shipper and they say otherwise. What's messing you up is that it said 0 degrees on the bills. That's your paper trail. Because the temp is on paper, it don't matter what the broker said. I hate this for you, but your BOL has rendered you defenseless.
-
If yall go to court, that BOL would sink you. The judge would say you have no leg to stand on. The broker probably had no idea what you were hauling so why would you trust the broker?

Reason number 68,903,225,771 why pulling a reefer sucks
-
You think reefer sucks because he pulled a rookie mistake and didn't follow the BOL temp setting? This could have been avoided easily.
