I just finished a 3 stop load this morning in Cairo GA. I’m in Dothan AL on my way back to Cullman for time off. I took a load of candy from Dallas to San Bernardino last week and I had a pallet of skittles rejected and had to bring it back to the shipper. That was an easy 2700 miles for last week lol. I did almost 12k miles for October

Rude security guards can ruin my mood in a heartbeat lol. I understand their frustration with how many drivers show up completely unprepared and rude also, but I think they forget most of us have visited 1000+ warehouses and have no idea the exact way theirs operates. I used to run liquor loads from Owensboro to Garner all the time -- it's a pretty nice little ride as long as you avoid Raleigh-Durham rush hour.

I've been on a perpetual Ohio loop for a couple weeks now lol. Ran a load from Decatur, IL (Man, I hate that town. It's so beaten down. Nice people, but roads bad enough to empty every cabinet in your truck lol). Delivered it in Delaware, OH today at Kroger at 07:00. Took 5 hours there to get unloaded, but now I'm reloading in Cincinatti to deliver in St. Louis tomorrow morning. Lots of split sleeper use so far this week to make appointments, but I don't mind. Makes these shorter 450 mile trips a little more efficient doing it that way. Detention + 470 mile backhaul works for me. Free money to sleep.

I'm jealous of y'alls CA runs. I know CA gets a lot of hate from truckers, but I always loved trips out there. Nice scenery and trucks running 55 gets ride of a lot of the drag racing. Easy miles the rest of the way once you get out too.

I'm not jealous of you visiting Dothan though lol. I feel like I've never gotten a green light on 231 to Montgomery :D feels like it's wide open throttle or on the brakes the entire drive. Make sure you write War Eagle in the dirt on the trailer doors while you're down there near 85 for me

We lost a clamp on the turbo last night after we got loaded. 4 mph on 65 to get to next exit to get safely off the highway. 377 bucks for petro to come put a clamp on. Dude followed me to Remington an found they didn't have the right size boot. So I was beyond out of time at that point. Made delivery today an made it to reload here in appleton at 3:30 pm cut off to get loaded. Now it'll be 2 hrs to get loaded. Whew boy, dat was close. Chicago traffic sucked. Wb 94 ramp was closed in am cuz of accidents goin into downtown. 32 degrees an morning frost was just too much for some people i guess. Seen a skateboard that wrecked his truck an a 4 wheeler on the jersey wall on 65 NB. Spilled his load of lumber over the wall onto the south bound side. Gonna take this load to ADM in quincy il tomorrow. Dump it an go home.

Larry is one passive aggressive remark to me away from me turning in my keys lol. Always the paper pushers that think I'm being unreasonable for not wanting to clean up other driver's work ethics.

This trailer was my empty that I'm picking up from Craftsmen and Larry doesn't understand why I won't be driving it down the road lol. This happens once in a blue moon and some desk jockey doesn't talk down to me? Sure, I'll run it the few miles taking only back roads. Never pay me extra or hold anyone accountable while talking to me like I'm their *****? Get road service or get the last driver back here to take it to the Love's. Instead of asking 'why would a driver drop a trailer like that?', it's 'why won't this driver risk their own CDL for free?'. Brain dead logic if this is their way of keeping retention up lol.

Just for the fun of it, decided to go ahead and knock out the rest of the pre trip and here are my findings: 2 wheel seals that are pretty bad (I know Climate has convinced themselves and drivers it's normal, but its not. I wont be convinced otherwise), 1 leaking hub cap (actually leaking, not just pushing out the auto inflate), 1 loose mud flap, and just for bonus points: one half swept trailer with a pile of trash behind it.

I'd run with the rest of the issues besides the tire, but just figured I'd tack em on since they're things most reputable carriers would be upset to know HAVEN'T been reported or fixed.

I have now had my plan changed from taking an empty to get salt melt for Aurora to heading to Refresco for Loveland. I reckon that means someone will get suckered into getting this trailer repaired to save them a buck. I do kind of feel bad about that -- my intention was to put my foot down, wait on them to offer compensation to run it or call road service, and then carry on. I didn't mean to further pawn it off on another driver.

Whoa!!! I know you was pretty nervous traveling down that highway man. I'm glad you were not in Chicago before that clamp left the turbo. You gotta love those cheap ### clamps they put on the trucks during the manufacture process. I remember with another company I lost one on a coolant hose. Lost the hose in the process too. Coolant everywhere.

Got my karma for my rant yesterday lol. Went to buy my nicotine supply for the weekend in Wakeeney and realized I didn't have my license. Called every place I stopped for any amount of time and no luck.

Safety emailed me a copy of their scan nd called dispatch letting them know I'd need to be routed through the house as soon as reasonably possible. I obviously don't expect them to deadhead me from Colorado for a license lol. Everyone was laid back about it and friendly, so I guess all is good. I was paranoid Safety was going to put me OOS and I was going to have to fly home from Denver to get it back.

Cigar collection will save my sanity for the next few days, I guess. Or just use it as a reason to quit altogether
