I have a 2012 mx13 that once in a while will shut off like it ran out of fuel. Even with full tanks. The only way it will start again it to prime it by cranking it over while pumping the primer pump at the same time 1000 times. Then when it finally fires all is good for a few more months. Then poof. Shuts off again. Any ideas?

Foil or plastic from fuel conditioner caps in tanks get stuck in fuel pick up tubes starving the engine for fuel .. when engines dies it falls away from pick up tube allowing you to prime it .. this is what happened to a friend with a similar issue..

The epa 10 mx13 is a bear to get primed.
Mine had a similar issue, first time the tank vents were clogged. Replaced and seemed to be fine afterwards, second time it was pulling just a little are at the mixer valve. And yes if it's sucking air it will take 1,000 pumps before it will run correctly
