I agree, I think the truck did nothing wrong. Good thing he was empty. You know, we often think of LEOs as this high and mighty entity, but in the end, they are human beings too and bound to make mistakes. It's a tough job, and I hope nobody laughs at this. I think some in some places, a siren or flashing lights makes all signals red, but not this time. As harsh as it sounds, I believe the trooper will get an axx chewin', as a local cop in my town, did a Uturn right in front of a 4 wheeler, and t-boned the cop, the cop got the ticket. I think this trooper was overdriving his siren and lights and didn't see a truck that was halfway through the intersection?.

On top of the logic @drvrtech77 pointed out, one can plainly see the reflection of the signal as the truck passes under it.Snailexpress, Flat Earth Trucker, Bud A. and 2 others Thank this.

There’s no reason for him to be driving in that manner, because along with the troopers that were already pursuing the woman, there was Harris County sheriffs deputies also participating in the pursuit, so they already had enough coverage. This trooper was reckless, and if you look at the video, you see how the nose of his patrol vehicle nose diving Basically showing how fast he was going in essence201, Flat Earth Trucker, Kyle G. and 2 others Thank this.

if I’m not mistaken, I believe the speed limit on that street is 45 mph and Amazon look like he had just taken off of the light so I think the trooper was doing probably at least 70+ on that street and Amazon may be doing 10 miles an hour That came up on that truck faster than he could ever blink an eye… There’s no question that trooper violated protocol by not slowing down and approaching intersection201, Flat Earth Trucker and Magoo1968 Thank this.

I guess I'm the only one who's really pissed off at the four-wheeler driver for doing that with four kids in the car.

I understand, and I agree, it is inexcusable. I'm just saying he may not have known the vehicle was already being pursued. Probably the only thing going through his mind was that one of his brothers was down and he needed to get there NOW. When different agencies are involved, every individual officer doesn't necessarily get all the info.
I'm not tryjng to sound like I know everything and I am not defending the officer's recklessness, but I do think he had the best intentions. It just didn't end very well. In the end he still messed up.201, mjd4277 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
If you stop at 00:01 you can clearly see green light reflection on the trailer top corner. This is light facing towards Amazon. Then reflection changed to to red from light facing toward traffic from Amazon right street. Speed can be calculated by time vehicle took to cross intersection if you know how wide the intersection.Kyle G. Thanks this.

I am amazed it took so long for anyone to respond to the accident. You would think the people in the cars at the intersection would get out of their cars to see i they could assist.
Kyle G. Thanks this.
