I asked my son-in-law about Ft Eustis a while back. He said that they do NOT have storage lockers or any place to store a firearm. I have not asked him about Ft Campbell, but I suspect it is the same.
Can law enforcement enter the truck during inspection?

Last time I delivered to a nuclear facility they wanted to keep every single camera in my truck including games. I even got hit with the Geiger counter on the way out even though I was in sight next to my truck the whole #### time.Bud A., gharrin218 and Jubal Early Times Thank this.

What?? The court, the final arbitrator in all of this said I am right.
SO who am I going to believe, a judge with more legal experience than anyone else, or a police officer who went through a basic course of how to handle a traffic stop?
Show me ONE case where an administrative inspector was told he was wrong when he did his inspection and found something really bad. -
My buddy left two unopened Budweiser beer can in my refrigerator after I dropped him

Worst case scenario he could probably just keep the gun unloaded and the ammo separate in those situations.

I delivered to a base a while back. Pretty sure it was Camp Legume.Just about every Driver coming in was armed. They all were checking in their pistols. They unload, put pistol and ammo in a lock box. One Guy had 2 pistols. They weren’t showing any permits to carry. They were mostly Container haulers, not all. It was all done very routinely. Everyone was used to it. There are exceptions. The base in Pensacola doesn’t allow participate. They refer to to a local licensed gun dealer. They hold your firearm for a fee.

In the article it states "Meanwhile, as Officer Waalkens continued his inspection, he learned Arrieta was “only hauling insulation” from Minnesota to Texas, which from his experience, “wouldn’t be a productive trip for the company.”
What gives them any right to assume that whatever load is being hauled is or isn't productive for said company? That has got to be the most ridiculous statement I have ever read and the old “I-35 is a very popular corridor for drug trafficking,” well it seems every Interstate is now a popular drug corridor, same as the ole "this is a known crime area" excuse that they use. This guy may not have been an angel but these are some lame excuses to try and hold the guy around long enough for the drug dog to show up.Bud A., gentleroger, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this. -
They legally cannot hold you longer than necessary to complete the initial reason for the stop.
How Long Can an Officer Detain Me During a Traffic Stop? - GRL LawTheLoadOut and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I took this load from West Monroe, La to Crowley, La about 210 miles each way.
It wasn't profitable for the manufacturer, but it was necessary for the customer. But as @TheLoadOut said, its none of the officers business.Attached Files:
