I used to get as close as I could to make them shake and blow them over in Iowa all the time for miles of cones and no work to be found.
Had super singles so did not have to worry about the whole getting stuck in between the tires thing. Never rammed em like that guy though. Pretty funny to see.

I used to try to just barely graze them with the trailer tires. If I was lucky, I might be able to make it spin.....
Lonesome Thanks this. -
Construction workers fault. They shut down 20 miles of lane, to work on 50' feet of it.

Construction workers have it hard enough without these shenanigans. Says a lot about peoples maturity level and personalities.
Oxbow, PaulMinternational, Moosetek13 and 2 others Thank this. -

You sure see a lot of zones with absolutely nothing going on.
And you also see alot of zones that are 25 miles long while they're working on 100 feet at a time.

The only time I ever got a barrel at speed, it was laying on its side in the right wheel track after being blown over there by a passing truck, and I was hemmed in by jersey wall and barrels. I was in Mack cabover with the narrow bumper, leaving the steers exposed. It shot that thing out like a tiddly wink! When it left the headlight beam, it was still climbing at about 30° on an 045 bearing; it looked likely to clear the ROW fencing! LOL

Ya know who I've noticed that have their fair share of offenders, when it comes to speeding a construction zone? Pickup trucks, with a road construction name on the door. They go crazy when the general public speeds through the zones, but can't police themselves.
