Not actually supposed to, but people do it all the time an nobody bothers ya or says anything. Yard guys got no idea that you're not waiting on something to do with your load or not.

Yeah I get away with it all the time at Palmyra. I just dropped the loaded trailer and waited til morning to check to get the reloaded trailer. Don't check in if you do it, because the system will update and ya might snitch on yourself. You go to the bobtail area and sleep there. I even used their microwave lol. I'm chilled out in Pontoon Beach til tomorrow or tomorrow night depending on what they put on me. I surely don't mind running back and forth between here and Palmyra. Easy money.

Ring container. Nothing but return pallets and cardboard. Was a quick unload last time, and out in 45 min this time.

This trailer is pretty decent. Brakes wont hold when set, even after manually adjusting them, so idk what the exact cause is, but they hold fine with trolley valve, so I have no issue running it. Maybe it's just a stubborn tandem slide and I overthought it. They hold about 80%. Also, the doors are a pain to get closed all the way, so now I know why the last driver closed them without the top being latched lol. I'd like to think I'm pretty able bodied compared to a lot out here, and it took all my strength and using the ICC bumper as a brace for my feet to get em to turn enough to clear the top latch if that makes sense lol. Nothing crazy though, so I can't complain.

All in all, easy weekend run and good miles. Reloading FCFS in Chester to go straight back to Sauer, so pretty good start to the week.

Ahhhh ok, sometimes you gotta air the trailers up to the max to get them to slide. Other times if I've been on the slightest incline they want to get stubborn. I've used to have a big stone I'd use a wheel chock for certain trailer. I think 2524 is the one that is just hard headed lol. No matter how many times I've taken that one to the shop, it don't want to act right. I'm about to grab a Hershey load and get going for Bloomington, IN. I've got 6 hrs left on my 70 so they will squeeze it a bit lol.

Went by Climate yesterday to get a recall done. Deadheaded to Craftsmen to pick up a trailer. Previous driver was nice enough to include a scale ticket since it's a light fuel to scale legal situation.

He was also nice enough to leave a tire that's been bald for 10,000 miles now. Pretty degenerate behavior to run a load at 79820 with a completely bald tire lol. There's a difference between 'getting the job done' and being a degenerate. This is what I'd classify as degenerate since they ran out to Colorado, reloaded, and ran back. I'm sure 'they didn't have time though' just a simple level 3 will turn into a level 1 in a hurry when the officer sees a tire so bald that wire is showing through. Now those minor issues like a small air leak, wheel seal seeping, brake out of adjustment, etc. are all getting tacked on over an hour long tire replacement.... and the roadside call, OOS time, etc. Fine line between running a tire to get repaired like Bryan does and running it like its brand new and dropping it like this one. 20231115_112651.jpg

Dang man, tire is balder than me lol, I mean I shave my head with a straight razor and it looks like they lathered that tire up with some shaving cream and peeled off the tread lol. I know you was pissed but when you called the previous driver a degenerate, I couldn't hold my laughter lmao!!! That one is the worst one yet.

I ran a shorthaul to New Century yesterday. I'm about to deadhead to Lyons, KS for a load of salt. That puts my week to some respectable miles heading through the house this weekend. This load is going to Potosi, MO. I'm thinking this is coming off of me once I get to Craftsmen. I won't make it to Potosi by the 8 am appt I don't think. I hope they take it off me. I'm not a fan of running through those windy ### roads through that area

The Ozarks backroads get hairy for sure. I used to pick up dog food at Schuster from Diamond Pet Foods in Meta, MO and it was always an adventure lol. Glad your miles picked back up this week. Mine have been looking a little better as well

I ended up catching a flat today on the trailer between Crossville, TN and where I stopped in NC. The craziest part is it was 20 minutes after crossing the scale on 40 that I stopped and saw it. I got pulled in, weighed, and given the green light. It's funny the only time I was truly at risk of getting put OOS was when it was something that happened under my watch :D wouldn't that have been ironic? I think something went haywire with the auto inflate. I always check its on and all was good this morning. No puncture on the flat besides the hole in the sidewall from running flat for however long. Looked in the mirror and noticed a trailer tire looked like it was flexing a little more than normal at the top of black mountain and found it, so idk. All 8 tires were down to 75psi, so I'm glad I made it through the scale. An 8 'under inflated tire' violation list would've been a bad time.

Limped it to the Love's in Marion, NC under Larry's direction and their shop is no longer open. All the mom and pop shops around here are 4 wheeler only or close at 5, which won't work out with my appointment in the morning, so Chris ended up sending out road service to this Love's. I didn't request it -- he just sent it out, so I'm waiting on them at the moment. I guess I'll just air em all up to 110 and shut the auto inflate off when I'm done. Auto inflate is great and reliable 99.9% of the time, but it sure does go south in a hurry when that 0.1% happens.
