Here is the answer for all the racists who are so jealous they haven't managed to save up enough money to buy themselves a truck.

First of all, anyone can get a loan from the federal government to open their business with a well thought out business plan, it's called an SBA loan.

Second, my husband is an immigrant from Kosovo, we own our truck, how? We worked hard, saved our money, and bought it. Of course, we used credit, but then we believe in paying our bills so we have it.

 

A lot of those people are in the same boat as their native born counterparts. Promised the sky and worked to death until they catch on. If you read between the lines on some crash reports you will spot it.

 

Just curious did you get your loan through the SBA? If so is it in your name or his or both?

 

Funny that...... I'm an immigrant and nobody gave me tax-free status or grants or anything but a big list of things that I can be kicked out of the country for..... and a whole lot of crappy attitude.

 

We do not have a SBA loan for trucking. We didn't need one. BUT I used to own a mortgage company and a real estate brokerage, still have the real estate. I have done every type of loan there is available.

 

I haven't done a SBA loan since May 2007 when I closed the mortgage side of my business. But I got financed for a truck in January of this year, I stick by my answer.... hard work, live within your means, and save your money.

 

They tend to succeed for the same reasons my Italian grandparents did. They work hard at ##### jobs & save their money.

Have you ever wondered why you don't see any white guys standing around in front of Home Depot's asking for work and you don't see any Mexican guys with signs at street corners asking for money?

I've pretty much lost everything in the real estate crash & I'm not going to snivel, I'm not asking for a bail-out from anybody. I'm just going back to driving truck, willing to work as hard as it takes to get back on my feet. I think my grandparents would understand, some of my well-to-do former friends don't seem to get it.
